YES! We are unique in that we CAN and DO edit for all editing styles. How? We have proven processes in place that allow us to do that. We also have LOADS of experience, 30+ years in fact, that is invaluable when it comes to matching each of our photographers' editing styles.
In addition to all of that, before an editor is accepted onto the Janelle Joy team, they are each put through a grueling interview process that includes editing different styles of editing that when completed is reviewed by Janelle to determine if they have the expertise needed to edit for the Janelle Joy client. Janelle has interviewed 100+ potential editors…. So, when you get your editor, you can rest assured that THEY. ARE. THE. BEST! They are the cream of the crop.
Yes. We have a 10 wedding minimum. This is done so that it allows us to keep from overfilling our schedules so that we can serve all of our photographers at 100% . Especially during the busiest parts of the busy season. Each of our photographers are extremely important to us, and we want them to be well taken care of and know that they can count on us.
Yes. While the majority of our clients are wedding photographers, we do work with portrait photographers, branding photographers, etc. If you are a portrait photographer please reach out to us to see if we have any openings available, as we do take on a limited number of portrait work. We LOVE our portrait photographers!

Yes! Yes! Yes! We fully believe in the 1-on-1 relationship between you and your editor. It’s part of the magic that makes this work so well and why we have clients who have been with us for YEARS! No exaggeration!
The benefit of working with your own dedicated editor means that the editor will narrow in on your editing style and know exactly what you need/want every time they open up your catalog to edit. You don’t have to re-teach a different editor each time you send something in. Our goal is LESS STRESS, not more. As a bonus, you will more than likely become close friends with your editor. Your editor will become one of your biggest cheerleaders and supporters. You mean the world to us and are more than just a catalog to deliver.
The cost is simple: It’s $0.43 per image for lightroom editing and $0.10 per image to cull. When you set up your free consultation/discovery call, you will go through this in more detail and have any additional questions you may have, answered during that call. To book your free call click HERE
We do often have a waitlist. This is because we only take on a limited number of clients to keep us from overbooking and ensure that we can serve our photographers at 100%. HOWEVER, do not let a possible waitlist keep you from reaching out. We do get regular openings and depending on the volume of work you have, (the more the better) it may work out that we have an open spot right away. It really depends on a multiple of things that I won’t bore you with…. SO. PLEASE. JUST REACH. OUT. We want to hear from you. ALWAYS.
Yes we do! As long as we have the opening/space to do so, we will gladly cull for you. So, if you are looking to literally hand off your photos after loading them on your computer, backing them up (of course), and providing a few anchors, then that’s exactly what you can do. Gosh, doesn't that sound amazing? Your editor will cull, edit, and then deliver a fully finished gallery/catalog back. AND you can just sit back and relax and get back to those tasks that don’t seem so daunting anymore.

We found Janelle on Instagram while searching for hashtag privatephotoeditor. Once we got in touch, Janelle was very responsive and we set up a meeting to video chat. Janelle provided us with all information regarding the process and from there we could start right away. Which was great because we had a ton of editing work and still more client requests coming in. Once everything was set up - as easy as accepting a shared folder on Dropbox and that was it - we started uploading our files and Janelle would return us the edited work within a few days. Long story short, we are very happy with Janelle's response time, quality of work, turn around time. This totally changed our MO. We now have more time to take on more weddings = extra income! We also now have more family time, time to be creative, time to invest in some extra marketing efforts. We definitely recommend outsourcing your editing work to Janelle.
